"MESSAGES FOR MEN - A STUDY OF 1 CORINTHIANS"

A biblical guide for living out our daily lives ethichally, in 1 Corinthians the apostle Paul tackles the issues men have struggled with both historically and in our modern times: money, sex and power.

Starting Wednesday, March 21 @ 7:00 pm, this 9 week study will explore what the Bible has to say about...

  • Responding to conflict with people in church
  • What conflict says about us
  • Being an effective leader
  • Sexual struggles as a Christian
  • Marriage, divorce, remarriage and singleness
  • Expressing our practice of faith among non-Christians (and Christians) when our standards differ
  • If we have to commit intellectual suicide to be a Christian
  • The practice of tithing

ABOUT DAVID LUNDY

Dr. David Lundy has been engaged in reaching least reached peoples of the world in missions or pastoring full-time since graduating from the University of Toronto in 1972.  David’s convergence ministry was the eight years he spent as the International Director of Arab World Ministries, living in the UK, culminating in 2010 when he led the 129 year-old ministry to Muslims into a merger with Pioneers.  He had previously served as their first Canadian Director from 1979-85.  

For the past six years, David returned full circle to India as the Development Director of the Dalit Freedom Network in Canada.  Previously he served six years as a missionary in India in the 1970s and again in the 90s when he helped OM-India launch an accredited Master’s degree program in Leadership and Management or Missiology as a satellite school for the Canadian graduate school, Briercrest Biblical Seminary, in Hyderabad.  His love for India, which is home to one third of the unreached people in the world, is evident in his repeated ministry trips there, 25 of them since living there.  Additionally David served as the Canadian Director of Operation Mobilization (1985-94).  He also pastored for 8 years in Welland and downtown Toronto.  

David has an earned M.Div. from Tyndale Seminary, an earned D.Min. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and is the author of four books, the most popular being Servant Leadership for Slow Learners, now in four languages.  His most recent book (2016) is called The Stone Crusher’s Daughter: The Implications of Being Made in God’s Image, which is available through Amazon.ca or him personally.    He is happily married to Linda and has one adult son, Mark, married to Nellie, and living in Port Colborne.  David relaxes by golfing, running 30 km a week, following the Blue Jays and Maple Leafs, and reading widely. 

He is an elder in Bramalea Baptist Church and active in outreach through the church, as well as leads a small group.  As of January 1, 2018, David retired with the intention of using his best energies for ministry with Bramalea Baptist and in support of Linda, who has chronic health problems.
