In five sessions, Dr. David Lundy will walk you through very important topics relating to the practice of reading, interpreting, and applying the Bible.
Interpreting the Bible correctly is vital. What are the basic tools for interpretation? Come, learn, and practice basic principles of biblical interpretation.
You will learn about how different types of Scripture affect our way of interpreting them (e.g. parables of Jesus, prophecy, OT historical books). You will learn about the importance of having an accurate understanding of what the words used in the text really mean.
Learning to interpret the Bible in its context is essential to a correct interpretation of the text. Dr. David Lundy will draw your attention to the historical, geographical, and the cultural context of the biblical world.
These classes will transform your Bible reading and sharpen your daily devotional time. In these ends times, it is critical that we are not confused about what God's Word means and how to apply it to our lives.
This is an online course offered on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 11:30 pm.
