How long I've been at BBC and what I do:
I joined the BBC team in October 2012. I serve as the Mission pastor - overseeing both local and global outreach and engagement.
A couple of things you wouldn't know about me:
I have climbed the Japan Alps numerous times. I speak Japanese and Tagalog. I used to be a "pool shark".
A bit about my family:
I have an amazing friend and partner in my wife, Hanako. She is a wonderful gift from God - without her I wouldn't be who I am today. After 8 years of marriage, God blessed us with a priceless jewel, Caleb. Caleb has a rare genetic disorder called Williams Syndrome. We thank God for entrusting us with a child with special needs. Through Caleb, God has deepened our understanding of Grace, broadened our scope of ministry, and given us unmovable strength in difficult situations. God has also blessed us with a little girl - Jasmine Naomi. She is a little princess who is just as beautiful as her mom!
Favourite things to do to relax:
Kick back and watch a good movie with my wife at the theater or at home. Experience God's Power while enjoying the view at the summit after a hard day's climb.
Passage of Scripture I am drawn to:
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20
I believe that the Church must constantly be focused on this command in order to make it the end-result of every ministry it has.
Hopes and dreams for BBC:
That we would be a family in which each member realizes, accepts, and utilizes their gifts and calling to expand Jesus' Kingdom here on earth through all aspects of their everyday lives.
