There has been a lot of progress made in the Senior Pastor search process.  The opportunity profile has been circulated for three weeks and there has been good response from potential candidates. The PST has been using the candidate profile to develop screening criteria for the candidates. If you feel that there is a suitable candidate for the senior pastor position at BBC, please send them the link below.

As you are all aware, there have been significant changes  within the pastoral staff at BBC over the past few months. Each of the departures has come about because the team member has responded to a calling that God has placed in their hearts after having faithfully served at BBC for many years.  We have been blessed to have each of them in our midst for that time and not one of those decisions has been forced by the leadership at BBC.  In Judges 7, Gideon was prepared to battle the Midianites with over thirty thousand men but God had a different idea.  God eventually culled the Israelite army down to three hundred men by allowing those who were not part of His plan to leave of their own choice. Ultimately, it allowed God’s name to be glorified because the victory over the Midianites occurred not on human strength but God’s power and we are confident that God is working in a similar way at BBC. BBC Leadership is actively developing plans to ensure continuation of existing ministry programs in the midst of these pastoral departures.   Also, we are arranging for an interim teaching pastor for the summer months to allow the remaining pastors to continue focusing on their ministries.

The leaders at BBC value your prayers and support as we navigate this transition and ask each of you to seek God’s will for your role at BBC in the next season.  There will be opportunities for you to get further details and ask questions at the congregational meeting in June. In the meantime, we will keep you informed as changes occur.

Finally the elders want to strongly encourage all of you to participate in the prayer meeting opportunities that are available through the transition process.

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:18-19

Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you. Is. 54:10
