What is Stephen Ministry?
We are all broken people and it is only through the cross of Jesus that we are made whole. Stephen Ministry is a distinctively Christian Care giving Ministry where clergy and laity work together to provide quality one to one care to meet the needs of hurting people, especially those who are going through a crisis in their lives.
What is a Stephen Minister?
Stephen Ministers care for people who are:
- Grieving
- In a crisis or family or friends of people in crisis
- In need of long time care
- Dying
- Hospitalized
- Experiencing losses
What Do Stephen Ministers Do?
- Listen
- Explore feelings
- Pray
- Share Christ's love through His Word
- Maintain confidentiality
- Attend to the caregiving process and leave the results to God
- Plant the seed. Water the seed. God will make it grow.
